- 70g Crunchy Battered Whiting – Approx. 1 Piece
- Slaw Mix
- 2 tbsp. Mayonnaise
- 2 tsp. Sour Cream
- 2 tsp. Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 tsp. Dijon Mustard
- 1 Brioche Burger bun
For the Tartar Sauce:
- 2 tbsp. Mayonnaise
- 1 tsp. Fresh lemon juice
- Lemon zest
- 1 tsp. relish of your choice
- 2 tsp. Dijon mustard
- ½ Garlic clove - Grated
- Salt
Step 1: Prep Your Oil
Preheat your frying oil to 170°C
Step 2: Make Your Tartare Sauce
While the oil heats up, mix the mayonnaise, lemon juice, lemon zest, sweet relish, mustard, and grated garlic in a small bowl. Season with salt and set aside.
Step 3: Prepare Your Slaw Mix
Mix the slaw mix with mayonnaise, sour cream, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard.
Let the mixture sit at room temperature while you fry your Crunchy Battered Whiting.
Step 3: Golden Crunchy Battered Whiting and Buns
Once your oil reaches the right temperature, carefully add the frozen Crunchy Battered Whiting into the deep fryer. Fry for 4-5 minutes until fully cooked and golden.
